What’s happening in the field of urology in Australia today is deeply concerning, particularly when it comes to treating prostatitis and prostate adenoma. The methods still being used here are essentially the same as those from 20–30 years ago.

You might be surprised to hear that in many parts of the world, chronic prostatitis is no longer considered a serious condition and is generally straightforward to treat. Yet here, that’s not the case. Are we getting something wrong?

In Australia, doctors are still prescribing outdated and painful rectal prostate treatments, along with potentially harmful antibiotics that don’t deliver real, lasting results. This happens in both high-cost private clinics and public hospitals alike. With this painful, expensive and risky approach, prostatitis often worsens. Antibiotics only suppress harmful bacteria temporarily. Within one or two months, the bacteria return and spread again. The prostatitis comes back—but in truth, it never fully goes away. As a result, the condition progresses, moving from stage one to stage two, and then on to stages three and four…

A man who begins to experience fertility problems will often also face difficulties in his relationships with women. He may suffer from pain, trouble urinating, reproductive dysfunction, and the growing threat of prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is one of the most serious diseases affecting men, with a high mortality rate.

Why are outdated pills and treatments still being used in Australia?

When questioned, they admitted they had simply been told it might help. Sadly, this kind of practice is more common than it should be.

I’ve travelled extensively and worked in multiple countries, but I have never seen a situation quite like what’s happening in Australia. We need to seriously consider the consequences this has for patients and the harm it may cause.

– How is prostatitis treated in other countries? Is it true that over the next seven years, the number of patients in developed countries will drop by up to 15 times?

– That’s correct. The modern approach to treating prostatitis used across most European countries, as well as in the United States, Japan, China, Singapore and elsewhere, is quite different. The focus isn’t just on relieving symptoms (like inflammation and harmful bacteria), but on tackling the underlying cause of the condition. In these countries, patients can undergo treatment without needing to visit a hospital. Once symptoms of prostatitis appear, following the appropriate treatment can lead to rapid resolution of the condition.

I’ll try to explain in simple terms how this product works and how it may help. What is the main cause of prostatitis? Modern medicine established several decades ago that poor blood circulation in the pelvic organs is the primary cause. The prostate gland is supplied by numerous tiny capillaries. Due to various adverse factors, including ageing, the prostate (which produces 18 essential hormones for men) begins to receive less oxygen and fewer nutrients than it needs. This results in blood stagnation. Prostatic secretions start to build up within the gland’s tissues. When these secretions stagnate, bacteria begin to multiply, leading to inflammation. And what happens when the prostate becomes inflamed? That’s acute prostatitis. If there’s no inflammation but there is a build-up of secretions, it leads to chronic prostatitis.

This makes it clear how prostatitis can be addressed. It’s not simply about destroying bacteria, nor about relying on antibiotics often prescribed by doctors with a financial interest. In other words, the key is to restore proper blood circulation in the prostate gland.

In 2017, scientists discovered that the small blood vessels in the pelvic region can be очищed using a specialised form of vitamin A known as alpha-hydroretinol.

This substance is able to bind with cholesterol molecules (which clog blood vessels with a consistency similar to liquid butter) and safely break down the blockage. As a result, blood vessels—including the tiny capillaries in the pelvic area—are cleared and able to function properly again.
